"Work and Learn" Events are one of the many social benefits of membership, offering hands-on learning and simple fun as members enjoy the bonding that working outdoors together can inspire. Some events may include additional activities, such as camping, walks, bonfires, potluck, and outdoor recreation.

Site Hosts receive the benefits of fellow members' expertise and industry to help them implement their personal Permaculture designs on their own properties. Active members may qualify as Site Hosts after participating in three or more of our one- to two-day "Work and Learn" Events and after taking the Introduction to Permaculture Workshop.

To fulfill the basic membership work requirement, any active member may log volunteer hours by serving during "Work and Learn" Events. Participant prerequisites: active membership and prior participation in one of our monthly Introduction to Permaculture Workshops.
