We are an inclusive, multicultural community with a strong, engaged membership. We have members with different skills, talents, resources, and passions. We have many ways for people of all ages to connect into the community and participate at whatever level works best.

Benefits of membership

Membership in PRI Cold Climate gives you access to other folks who are learning and practicing permaculture. As an active participant in our community, you can share your skills and knowledge and learn with and from others. Members are eligible for various discounts, invited to attend numerous members-only events and classes, and receive priority registration for events, workshops, and tours that are open to the public. Membership benefits include:

• Eligible to attend member-only events and classes
• Discounts on products such as books
• Discounts on selected workshops
• Eligible for scholarships, work trades, and hosting events
• Priority registration for selected workshops, projects, tours, etc.
• Can post member profile and photos on website
• Can create personal blog on website
• Can record hours donated and track personal event history
• Access to other members' member profiles
• Priority participation in program activities

Types of membership

PRI Cold Climate welcomes your participation at a level that's right for you. We offer memberships to households, individuals, and students. We also will negotiate sliding scale memberships. We invite organizations to join as organization members and/or sponsors. Those who do not want to become members but are interested in keeping tabs on our community doings can become email affiliates.

Household Annual Membership - $95

Individual Annual Membership - $60

Student Annual Membership - $30

• Join as a Student Member

Limited Income Individual Annual Membership - $30
In our effort to truly embody sustainability in our organization, we are committed to making PRI Cold Climate a welcoming place for all individuals, regardless of economic ability (or any other criteria, for that matter). Our limited income membership option is designed for those who want to make a commitment to support PRI but may not be able to afford the $60 fee.

Sliding Scale Membership
If you cannot contribute money or feel that you would like to offer services or materials in lieu of money, please contact us to negotiate.

Organization Membership - $150

• Join as an Organization Member.

"Email Only" Affiliates are those who do not wish to become a member at this time, but want to be included in the conversation and to be notified of our events. We invite you to subscribe to our monthly e-update, Cold Climate Circular, to keep informed about happenings in the PRI Cold Climate community. (There's a SUBSCRIBE form on the right side of the Home page.)

PRI Cold Climate is a certified 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization. Your membership is tax deductible. Membership fees directly support the infrastructure, events, and activities of PRI Cold Climate.

There are many ways you can support our work. We are pleased to accept any and all monetary donations! If you would like to donate an item or service, we would be happy to discuss our needs with you.
