Masonry - paver landings

Building a paver landing for the area at the gate opening on a slight incline.

Our process: Dig out the earth at least 12 inches, fill with gravel/class five, tamp the gravel to secure, nail in edging, add a few inches of sand, make sure area is level, lay out stone paver design, cut stone as needed to fit edge (diamond edge blade), tap stones in place.

The skills learned can also be applied to making a home patio.
