Transition Town Training in Northfield: June 13 & 14

Have you heard about the Transition Town initiative started by permaculturist Rob Hopkins in the UK? It's about finding ways to build up the resilience of our local communities and local economy in order to address the upcoming challenges from peak oil and climate change.

Our Transition Northfield group is hosting a two-day "Training for Transition" class taught by experienced trainers (and permaculture teachers) Becky and Bill Wilson from Illinois. The class will be on June 13 and 14, with an optional get-together for dinner on Friday the 12th, in Northfield -- which is about 40 minutes south of Minneapolis / St. Paul.

The goal of the "Training for Transition" class is to give you the skills necessary to set up, develop, and run a Transition project in your own community.

For more information and a registration form, please see www.transitionnorthfield.org or www.transitionus.org or Rob's book "The Transition Handbook". Class space is limited to 30 participants. Hope to see you there!
