Urban Farming Business Skills

Thinking of starting your own urban farming business?
Get an intensive orientation to the business of urban farming in one day!
This class will focus on the foundational knowledge needed for developing a successful operation. Carol Ford, co-owner of Garden Goddess CSA and co-author of the recent book The Northlands Winter Greenhouse Manual, will share her expertise & learning as she walks participants through starting an urban farming business, creating a marketing plan, creating a production plan, record-keeping & administration, and more!
This course is offered as part of the Minnesota African Women Sustainable Backyard Farming Project. All are welcome!
Note that we have a lot of material to cover and will take a short (30-minute) break at midday. Lunch will not be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring a bag lunch.

WHERE: basement dining room, Walker Community Church, 3104 16th Ave S, Minneapolis
(Participants, you will need to enter the building via the south door on the 16th Ave side. The door is labeled "Office." Go straight ahead, down to the basement & turn right down the hall to get to the dining room.)
