Our farmers come with solid farming and/or gardening backgrounds. As Backyard Harvest farmers, they also receive training in whole systems (permaculture) design, sustainable growing methods, business planning, and specialty gardening skills.

Urban Agriculture EducationThe Backyard Harvest Program aims to strenghthen the Twin Cities local foods infrastructure. This includes building the capacity of our urban farmers. Whether you are working with Backyard Harvest or simply on your own backyard, PRI will continue to provide as much education and resources as possible for urban growers throughout the year.
