Garden Designs

Our Backyard Harvest garden designs are a robust multifunctional system utilizing companion planting, increased edge, integrated pest management and creation of optimal micro-climates. The 2009 garden designs consist of annuals with a succession of cool season to warm season vegetables, herbs and edible flowers.

The garden builds fertility in the existing urbans soils and the plants and seeds are innoculated with compost tea to maximize beneficial organisms. An important aspect of urban gardening is maximizing space; the garden utilizes multiple vertical heights and is planted in relays for maximum harvest yields.

Design options :

  • Traditional (square/rectangle)
  • Keyhole
  • Flower Petal
